Welcome to the website for the XXL (AR0651) course.

The Digital Design Expert.

In the last 10 years the integration of digital technology into the architectural design, manufacturing and building process caused changes in multiple fields related to architecture. With the implementation of digital design support tools new concepts and methodology of design are developed breaking free of the highly conventionalized traditional analog design environment. Similar developments take place in industries related to architecture. The digitalization of the design process causes the interaction between the actors of that process to changes. With the lack of pre defined conventions and shared knowledge of implementation of digital design tools in the various fields of profession a specialist is necessary who has in depth knowledge of the digital technology used. Knowledge which can be used to structure the implementation of digital design support tools and manage the interaction and communication of the digital design data.
